We’ve received many questions about the JX-6A drone. Here are the answers to some of the most common ones:
1. Would Adding a Propeller to the JX-6A Drone Improve Its Performance?
Adding a propeller would require a larger battery, which would increase the weight of the drone. This added weight would reduce flight time and negatively impact speed and portability. The primary purpose of our drone is to quickly and accurately deliver a life buoy to a person in distress. Once the person grabs the buoy, they can temporarily escape immediate danger and wait for further rescue. Our goal is to provide rapid assistance to buy crucial time for professional rescuers, rather than having them arrive too late. During emergencies, having a lightweight, portable device that can deploy quickly is crucial for ensuring the safety of the individual in the water. Larger, more complex equipment can follow up later. Remember, the JX-6A is designed to be a supplementary tool, not a universal solution. It plays a critical role in initial rescue efforts.
2. Why Not Use a Drone to Carry Both a Life Buoy and a Boat?
Effective water rescue requires coordination, and there are scenarios we might not anticipate. For instance, if there are obstacles in the river, a boat might not be able to pass, but our drone can fly over them.
You might ask, "Why not attach a life buoy to the drone?" However, if the buoy is carried by the drone and is affected by the wind, it might drift away, requiring the drone to return and reattach the buoy. This process could be time-consuming.
Moreover, drones carrying heavy loads can be vulnerable to strong winds, leading to crashes that might pose a threat to the person in distress.
Key Benefits of the JX-6A Drone:
- Lightweight and Portable: Weighing just 4.38 kg, it’s easy for one person to handle. Even if it crashes in special situations, it won’t pose a significant threat.
- Waterproof and Durable: It can take off and land multiple times on water, with an IP68 waterproof rating, making it resilient to harsh weather and reusable.
- Versatile and Reliable: It operates effectively in diverse environmental conditions, whether it’s bad weather or complex water environments.
- Fast Deployment: The drone’s speed and performance allow it to reach the person in distress quickly, without needing to consider other issues.
Additional Thoughts on the JX-6A Drone:
Water rescue environments are complex and time-sensitive. Relying on a single piece of equipment to replace all others isn’t practical, both from an economic and operational standpoint. If we had a device that provided rapid rescue capabilities, could bring people back, and was very affordable, would traditional rescue equipment still be necessary?
In cases where the person in distress is relatively close, a simple life buoy might suffice. However, in distant or challenging conditions—such as at sea with strong waves—traditional rescue boats may struggle to reach the person quickly. The JX-6A drone, with its speed and agility, outperforms these boats in such scenarios.
While the JX-6A cannot bring a person back to shore, it can be used with a pre-attached rope to pull the person closer to shore once they grab the buoy. This is feasible but still cannot match the capabilities of professional rescue boats designed for carrying people.
Every piece of equipment has its unique advantages and is designed for specific rescue scenarios. The JX-6A is not meant to replace existing equipment but to complement and enhance water rescue operations. It provides an additional, effective tool for saving lives and offers more options for rescuers in critical situations.
